Franklin Park
One of the largest parks in Boston, Franklin Park is part of the Emerald Necklace, and it spans three different Boston neighborhoods. The park has no shortage of walking and biking paths. It has also plenty of sports-related amenities in the park including multiple softball and little league fields, a soccer field (with goals), basketball courts and 2 different located of tennis courts. Scarboro Pond provides wonderful scenery, and opportunity to see birds and wildlife. Franklin Park is also home to the Franklin Park Zoo, and the William J. Devine Memorial Golf Course, the 2nd old course in the nation. During winter months, the golf course is typically used for snowshoeing and cross country skiing.

Fast Facts About Franklin Park:
- Franklin Park was eventually named in honor of Boston born patriot Benjamin Franklin, who documented in his will that he wished for a portion of his estate to be given to a worthy cause.
- Located within Franklin Park, White Stadium is a now vacant football stadium with a a capacity of 10,000 seats. It was constructed and opened in 1949 as the site of many high school games, but is no longer used.
