Located in Cambridge, Riverbend Park is an intimate green space in Cambridgeport and close to Harvard Square. Bordering the Charles River the park has grassy spot for picnics (just bring a blanket), unobstructed views of the river, and a few benches for sitting. The park is also ideal for a nice walk or run along the river. Every Saturday and Sunday (11am-7pm) from April to November, Memorial Drive, which runs parallel to Riverbend Park, is closed to traffic, and open to recreation – it’s great for walking, biking, rollerblading and running along the Charles River. The street is closed from Western Ave to Mount Auburn Street.
