Located in West Cambridge, Mount Auburn Cemetery is a spacious garden & cemetery – in fact, this historic site is the first cemetery in the United States. The cemetery not only has statues and sculptures, but it is also the site of wildlife and a great spot for birding. Throughout the cemetery, you will also see an array of flowers, shrubbery and trees.
Bikes, and other items are not allowed at Mount Auburn Cemetery. A bike rack is available just inside the Entrance Gate for those traveling by bicycle. There are no pets allowed at the cemetery.

To get to Mount Auburn Cemetery, you can take the 71 and 73 bus to the Mt Auburn St @ Brattle St, which a few minutes from the entrance of Mount Auburn Cemetery.Â
Visitors at Mount Auburn Cemetery may park on any road without a green line. Please leave the parking stalls at our Administration Building available for those with appointments at our Office. Lawn Avenue, located just inside our Entrance across from Story Chapel, provides visitor parking close to our Entrance Gate, Visitors Center,
