Larz Anderson Park is a wooded, and well-landscaped, 61-acre park tucked away, and while it is a big park, it is a hidden gem to those that live in the city. The park has views of the city skyline, and romantic scenery. In terms of sports, it has little league fields, open field space, and more. Larz Anderson Park is also a dog-friendly park, and ideal for long dog walks. During the winter, the hill near Goddard Ave is one of the best places for kids to go sledding. The park is recognized as a historical site, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Driving is the best way of getting to this park. The park has two separate parking lots – one on Goddard Ave, near the little league fields, and the other at the top of the hill, which can accessed from Newton Street.
