Larz Anderson Park is a wooded, and well-landscaped, 61-acre park tucked away, and while it is a big park, it is a hidden gem to those that live in the city. The park has views of the city skyline, and romantic scenery. In terms of sports, it has little league fields, open field space, and more. Larz Anderson Park is also a dog-friendly park, and ideal for long dog walks. During the winter, the hill at Larz Anderson Park near Goddard Ave is one of the best places for kids to go sledding. The park is recognized as a historical site, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Brookline Green Dog Program
- Unleashed Dog Hours at Larz Anderson Park under Brookline's Green Dog Program are Dawn-1PM (March-November), and Dawn-Dusk during the Winter months of December through February.
- Unleashed Dog are only allowed at the top of the hill area, Avon Street side. No dogs allowed in children's play area, pond, garden area or BBQ sites/shelter.
- Dog owners MUST be part of the Green Dog Program to have unleashed dogs at the park.
- Dogs are not allowed on fields when the ground is thawing (generally, the entire month of March).
- To register for the Green Dog Program, click the button below. Non-Brookline residents are welcome to register. Dog licenses must be renewed yearly.

Directions & Parking
Driving is the best way of getting to Larz Anderson Park. Located in Brookline, the park has two separate parking areas – one parking lot is on Goddard Ave, near the little league fields, and the other parking area is at the top of the hill with a few smaller parking lots, which can accessed from Newton Street.
