Jamaica Pond Park

(5 votes)

Jamaica Pond Park offers amazing views of the Jamaica Plain neighborhood and the pond itself. The park is big, and has a path that loops around the pond which many either walk or run around. The path is about 1.5 miles in length. Visitors of Jamaica Pond are able to rent rowboats, sailboats, and kayaks at the Jamaica Pond Boat House – however, you are not allowed to bring your own kayak. There is also space to fish around the pond. There is also no swimming allowed. The just North of the pond is the Pinebank Promontory, a very relaxing area which is a great for yoga or meditation, and has elevated views of the pond. The “Sugar Bowl”, is a hill near the Pinebank Promontory that is a popular place in the Winter for kids to go sledding.
