Herter Park is located right on the Charles River in Lower Allston. The park is great for kids, and has a playground and a toddler swimming area. The park also is good for kayaking, boating and fishing. Night Shift Brewing has an outdoor seating area with food trucks – get a beer, and sit right by the river. Herter Park is also the site of many outdoor events, featuring an amphitheater space with a running schedule of musicians, plays, live performances, movies and other events. It’s one of the best places to catch live music and entertainment.

Herter Park is located in Boston’s Lower Allston neighborhood, by the Charles River. By Bus, you can get to Herter Park by taking the 70 and 86 Bus Routes to the Western Ave @ Everett St stop. The park also offers free parking with a large parking lot (that gets crowded on weekends) off of Soldiers Field Road.
