Brookline Green Dog Program
- Unleashed Dog Hours at Downes Field under Brookline's Green Dog Program are Dawn-1PM (March-November), and Dawn-Dusk in December-February.
- No dogs allowed in fenced portion of park with track.
- Dog owners MUST be part of the Green Dog Program to have unleashed dogs at the park.
- Dogs are not allowed on fields when the ground is thawing (generally, the entire month of March).
- To register for the Green Dog Program, click the button below. Non-Brookline residents are welcome to register. Dog licenses must be renewed yearly.

By Bus, you can get to Downes Field by taking the 60 Bus to the High St @ Highland Rd. There is also parking at the intersection of Pond Ave and Jamaica Road.
