Boston Common is historic park centrally-located in downtown Boston. The park is a very popular tourist destination, and is part of the Boston’s Emerald Necklace and the historic Freedom Trail. Kids can enjoy the Boston Common Playground, and the well-known “Frog Pond” – a kids spray pond in the summer, which is also an ice skating rink in the winter. In addition, kids can go sledding down Flagstaff hill – with hot cocoa available at a stand in the park. There are also many events that frequently happen in the park, including outdoor plays, live music, food trucks and more. Boston Common is also dog-friendly, and has an off-leash area for dogs to play (Common Canine).
